Belzona Strike Success with Oil and Gas Workshop

 In Inside Belzona

Delivering training and product demonstrations are among Belzona’s core strengths when it comes to sharing industry knowledge and know-how, so for the first entry in our ‘Inside Belzona’ series we wanted to showcase our most recent event. At the beginning of November we hosted an Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Technical Workshop at our head office in Harrogate, UK. Over 50 delegates attended from an array of leading oil and gas asset owners to learn more about the corrosion management systems on offer from Belzona. Topics at this workshop included protective linings, specialist coatings, composite wraps and cold bonding technology (our next ‘Belzona Educates’ post).

Running over the course of two days, engineers and managers representing the asset owners and engineering design houses were able to see the application of organic linings and paste grade materials, whilst understanding their impact in maximising asset life. Being the first event like this we have held, delegates were treated to a combination of presentations and equipment displays alongside hands-on practical sessions. Lead by R&D, Technical and Commercial Belzona teams, attendees were able to get to grips with some of the most relevant repair materials, taking the opportunity to mix and apply the Belzona products first-hand.

Marina Silva, Belzona Marketing Supervisor, organised the event and said: “We are very pleased with the turn out and the feedback we received from the attendees. The whole Belzona team worked together exceptionally well to deliver an enjoyable and informative event. The knowledge, experience and passion the team shares for Belzona solutions were clearly evident and that, in my opinion, made this workshop truly memorable.”
