Between Tuesday 27th and Friday 30th September, the Belzona team was delighted to be at WindEnergy Hamburg, the world’s leading wind exhibition, showcasing our trailblazing solutions for the Industry. Along with some of our European Distributors, our expert team of engineers and marketers spent the week meeting many of the 30,000 attendees at our stall to explain how Belzona can help their businesses.
Belzona’s solutions can be applied to many different areas of the Wind Industry, such as rebuilding and sealing internal components within the nacelles, sealing and preventing SF6 leaks, repairing and protecting tower bases and splash zones, and rebuilding and protecting turbine blades from Leading Edge Erosion (LEE).
Throughout the event, our team presented the benefits of Belzona solutions with thought-provoking and interactive sessions including answering questions from stand visitors, showing off our comprehensive range of marketing materials and even daily demonstrations of our products in action.
One of the most popular sections of the event was undoubtedly the demonstration of Belzona’s newest solution for the Wind Industry: Belzona 5711 and Belzona 5721. These systems are specifically designed for the repair and protection of turbine blades against LEE.
The solution was demonstrated live each day by Specification Development Engineer, Richard Bywater, with crowds gathering to watch him mix and apply the products to a mock blade, replicating a real in-situ repair.

Our team greatly enjoyed being able to attend in-person events once more, especially the opportunity to work closely alongside our Distributors and meet Customers. Belzona staff were joined on the stand by representatives from six European Distributorships; Beltech A/S (Norway), SPIRAL (France), Belzona Service Nord (Germany), Belzona Portugal (Portugal), Perspex Benelux B.V (The Netherlands) and AESSEAL DK (Denmark).
