Keeping buildings cool on hot sunny days incurs high energy costs due to the use of air conditioning units. However, a roof cooling coating, such as Belzona 3111 (Flexible Membrane), reduces the need for air conditioning, thereby allowing asset owners to save money, whilst also keeping their buildings much cooler and safer.

Cool Roof Coating With High Solar Energy Emittance
Belzona 3111 (Flexible Membrane) is a cool roof coating with high solar energy emittance. Emitting this solar energy from the roof ensures the internal temperature is kept lower than if no coating was used. In a recent field test, the emittance of this solar energy led to a large temperature drop in the interior of the building. Without a coating, the building heated to 33°C (91.4°F), however, with Belzona’s solar reflective coating, the building heated to only 27°C (80.6°F). The lower temperature reduced the load on the air conditioning units and, in turn, saved the asset owner money in energy bills.
