BELZONA DISTRIBUTOR SECURES LARGEST EVER SINGLE ORDER OF BELZONA 1111 FOR ONE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS
Thailand-based distributor Pan Mechanic Engineering Co., Ltd. placed an order in September for Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) that totalled 5300kg for use on a large project. The order which is in addition to a previous order for the same project of 2000kg will be used at the customers’ facility in Kamphaeng Phet Thailand for a major SET-listed oil and gas company.
The record order is being used to repair pipeline weld seams suffering corrosion due to the high chloride content in the process fluids. The customer has also used Belzona Super Wrap II, however, due to the number of affected weld seams and the relatively low operating pressures they looked to develop an optional solution and after undergoing pre-qualification testing, Belzona 1111 was chosen.
Throughout the project supervisors from Pan Mechanic Engineering will be supporting and training contractors on-site to conduct the application process to the damaged weld seams.
Panit Kittikunakorn, Sales & Project Manager for Pan Mechanic Engineering said:
“Although COVID-19 has affected many industries, here in Thailand the Oil & Gas sector is still fully operational resulting in a constant flow of maintenance projects, our customer in Kamphaeng Phet required a new solution to an ongoing problem with their weld seams, Belzona 1111 was the perfect choice for them due to its excellent chemical resistance against a wide range of chemicals and its ease of use for this application“
“We are now into the 34th year of our partnership with Belzona Asia Pacific and their ongoing support has been a key factor to our success, helping us to become the leading provider of anti-corrosion Repair and coatings in Thailand.”
James Nippard, Belzona Business Development Engineer for the Asia Pacific Region, commented:
“Over the last 34 years, Belzona and Pan Mechanic have continued to build a strong relationship. Since our partnership began, we have strived to provide the best possible support regarding customer enquiries, technical enquiries, project testing, site meetings and marketing. This support has contributed to the significant growth in the sales of Belzona here in Thailand, culminating in the largest order received for Belzona 1111. As this challenging year draws to a close we look forward to more milestones being achieved by our distributor network in 2021.”
Pan Mechanic informed us that Phase One of the project has now been completed and the customer is very satisfied with the performance of Belzona 1111. The application process had no detrimental effect on their customers’ day-to-day operations allowing them to maintain their normal levels of output. Further updates on the application will be forthcoming when Phase Two begins.
